1915: Harry Apple establishes Trade Press Publishing Company in Milwaukee with his first magazine, Ford Owner.
1943: Sanitary Maintenance, a magazine for the burgeoning janitorial supply industry debuts as a bimonthly publication. As the industry grows, so does its frequency of publication and influence.
1954: Shortly after World War II, Harry’s son Robert H. Apple joins the company as its Business Manager. In 1954, the new Apple in charge launches Building Maintenance & Modernization magazine. It later is renamed Building Operating Management.
